There is no wrong in art, you control the work you do, thus you are the master of your art.
Had a fabulous workshop day by Hels Sheridan http://pinkleart.blogspot.co.uk/ at the brilliant Birds in the Barn http://www.birdsinthebarn.co.uk/ at Coggeshall/Marks Tey.
The project was a canvass, using melt techniques with beeswax, utee and some new on the market stamps. Why am I doing a canvass and mainstream when I am well... assemblage and not exactly mainstream to way off the mark or some might say off the wall?!
It's collage! and I love collage, but my melt pot got confined to the cobweb collecting corner, so a day spent using one was a good idea and also Hels was a great attraction to the workshop too.
Birds in the Barn is a great new shop with a great workshop, you are looked after very well and there's always stuff that you ABSOLUTELY NEED! Janet and Ginny (I have not yet met others) are very helpful and have a wealth of knowledge of the products, it is a joy to be there.
So the project...
well.. I kind of went off on my own tangent, the stamps were fab and everyone created fabby spring themed canvasses, lots of lovely spring colours and funky flowers and things, but mine.... well, see for yourself!
Today I have ideas for those stamps, so I will have to go back and get some - happy days!
